Second Post

Well the day started in a sleepy manner, woke up at 7 AM ( yawn !!) and managed to reach the class at 7:28 AM and there was Brand Management Class and usually there is a quiz in 1st minute, although for the last 2 sessions there had been no quiz. At 7:30 AM class started with Quiz for 3 min then papers collected, then another quiz for 3 minutes, papers again collected, then again another quiz, then another and then the final and 5th surprise quiz of the day at 7:40 AM.....phew. Now I was wide awake and sustained till 8:30 AM and the class ended. Then I went back and slept.
In the evening was the cul night which show awesome dance performances. Nakul mimicked his way to glory and left everyone in splits. I could not watch the play but I heard it was good. In the end we had our own band performing and considering the short practice sessions I think they were quite good.

First Post - IIM K Backwaters Prelude - Tug-o-War

Well today was an interesting day in many ways. Had a presentation in the morning, followed by sleep then some good news on the academic front and finally the inter-hostel Tug-o-War. Tug-o-War was well organised by two dudes from Jr Batch and it was well organised with a lot of excitement and nail-biting stuff. 6 hostels were divided into two pools and played twice with each other and on the basis of better time among the two tug-of-wars the winner was decided. I am a resident of "F" Hostel which is also known as the Big F probably because it has the largest number of rooms and was a part of the Tug-of-War team. We played well and won most of our matches barring one. In finals we won the first round in 7.1 seconds and for the second round we tried hard to sustain for the 7.1 seconds to win but finally lost by 0.30 seconds. Imagine in a game of Tug-o-War finishing so close. Hostel D finally emerged the winner but we fought hard and till the end. Although we lost it was good fun and thoroughly enjoyed it.
